eBay Inc has agreed to purchase a provider of payments through mobile carrier billing Zong. The deal is estimated approximately at $240 million in cash. The company expects that combined with PayPal, Zong will add complementary technology and talent that help strengthen PayPal’s leadership position in mobile payments and digital goods.

 PapayaMobile, an open, mobile social network for Android, has announced to partner Zong, Billing Revolution, and Adknowledge's Super Rewards to offer the most complete and effective monetization solution for Android developers. As a result of these key partnership agreements, PapayaMobile now enables in-app purchases, support for various billing options and integration of advertising offers from Super Rewards.

PapayaMobile mainly focuses on casual gaming and virtual currency.

Zong, the open mobile platform Zong that combines carrier billing with credit, debit and prepaid cards and therefore the first company to allow multiple payment options via the mobile phone, has announced a private beta for Android developers to integrate this payment option into their applications. 

A provider of mobile payment solutions mopay is expanding its presence into the US market to provide North American gaming and social networking businesses with a new revenue channel and allow US consumers to purchase virtual goods and other digital content through their mobile phone accounts.
