First HTC Windows Phone 7 has come today

This week HTC unveiled its first Windows Phone 7 handset for AT&T. The phone is dedicated for entertainment and comes with a 4.3 inch screen.

The mobile device features Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD surround audio and is integrated with Xbox LIVE and Zune. There is a G-Sensor for gaming and a kickstand to allow you to sit and watch video. The screen is Super-LCD WVGA.

Apart from these, the phone also has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of ROM and 16GB of internal storage. Besides, it is equipped with 576MB of RAM. No 4G or WiMAX.

Sales of Microsoft Kinect beat the iPad according to Guinness

Microsoft has sold 10 million Kinect accessories and 10 million Kinect supported games. Since Kinect’s launch last November Microsoft has sold five times more Xbox 360 Kinect bundles than Sony's PS3 Move.

Overall, Kinect sold 8 million units in 2010 and apparently took the Guinness World Record for the process for the fastest-selling consumer electronics device.

That's more that the 3m iPads Apple shifted in the first 80 days after its April release.

Microsoft will challenge Google TV, Hulu and others with its own online TV

Latest rumors on the net report that Microsoft is considering to launch its own online TV service rivaling thus Google TV, Hulu Plus, and Netflix. The sources say that Microsoft intends to use the Xbox to ensure the service is available to a very large audience.

Yinka Adegoke wrote at Reuters: "Microsoft Corp has held talks with media companies to license TV networks for a new online pay-television subscription service through devices such as its Xbox video game console, two people familiar with the plans told Reuters."

Kinect controller for Xbox can be run on Mac OS X machines now

A developer Theo Watson has managed to hack the Kinect hardware for the Xbox 360 to run it on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X. Previously the same thing was made for a Windows 7 PC.

While the Kinect on OS X doesn’t work the same way as it did on Windows 7, where a user had complete control over its motors and all, still it is a significant breakthrough that has great prospects for future Mac OS X machines use.

On Thursday Microsoft Corp filed a lawsuit against a British video game accessory maker Datel Design and Development Ltd claiming that the company infringes its patens by copying the game console controllers.

Microsoft says that Datel's "TurboFire" and "WildFire" wireless controllers -- which resemble Xbox controllers and sell for up to $50 on the Internet -- infringe a number of Microsoft patents.
