WaMu is now live under the new name of Chase

Today Chase, Washington’s new bank unveiled its bright blue octagon logo and respected name on 187 bank branches and 255 ATMs in Washington, reaching consumers and businesses formerly served by WaMu. 

 

According to Phyllis Campbell, Chairman of the Pacific Northwest, JPMorgan Chase.statement Chase’s 2,200 branch employees in Washington are focused on helping families manage their money and achieve their financial goals.”

Forrester Research’s Customer Experience Index (CxPi) showed that credit card providers took sixth place out of 12 industries included in the report ending up with an overall “okay” rating of 68%. According to the report the ending up with an overall “okay” rating of 68%.

USAA catches up on BofA and other big players in mobile banking

A Fortune 500 financial services company offering banking, investing, and insurance to people and families that serve, or served, in the United States military United Services Automobile Association (USAA) last week reported that its mobile banking service though just 10 months old is being consumed by 11.4% of its 7 million members, or about 800,000. This makes USAA a largest mobile banking provider in the country.

WaMu seeks $13 billion in damages in a lawsuit against the FDIC

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is sued by the holding company for Washington Mutual Bank for the agency’s having improperly sold its banking operations to J.P. Morgan Chase. The company filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Washington against the U.S. insurer saying that it could have gotten more money for the sold assets.

TSYS will no longer process WaMu's operations

TSYS and JPMorgan Chase concluded an agreement to discontinue the servicing of Washington Mutual Bank's (WaMu's) consumer card portfolio by TSYS. Under the terms of their contract Chase will pay TSYS fees for deconversion and termination which both parties have agreed not to disclose. Besides, the two companies decided to extend the processing agreement between TSYS and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (Toronto Branch) for its Canadian card business through April 30, 2012.
