65% of users globally have become cybercrime victims at least once

According to the latest research from Symantec entitled "Norton Cybercrime Report: The Human Impact", about 65% of all web users globally have become the victims of cybercrime.

According to the research data, 58% of cybercrime victims, hurt by viruses and online credit card fraud, feel angry, while 51% responded they were annoyed and 40% admitted to feeling cheated.

Moreover, 80% of web users don't believe the cybercriminals will be caught, while only 3% believe they won't fall victim to crime online.

Americas Watchdog's Corporate Whistleblower Center Monday, announced the launch of an initiative focused on banks and credit card companies, that double, triple, or even quadruple a credit card holders balance, after a non-payment, or after the bank, or credit card company turns the account over to collection. Firstly, this initiative is to be focused on California low income, or minority victims, and will then expand into a national campaign.

In a move to provide more options to get connected to 911 service an emergency call center in the basement of the county jail in Waterloo, Iowa, is testing texting system when SMS messages are sent to 911 to inform about the accident. Call centers across the US are also looking to adopt similar solution.

"I think there's a need to get out front and get this technology available," Black Hawk County police chief Thomas Jennings said.
