ParTech Inc has partnered with VeriFone Systems Inc to launch an integrated end-to-end encryption for point-of-sale applications. The integration of VeriFone’s VeriShield® Total Protect, Secured by RSA, solution and PAR EverServ® Software enables restaurant customers to make safer payment card transactions while reducing the cost of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance for restaurant operators.

VeriFone Systems Inc launched PAYMEDIA for its PCI 2.0-approved Secure PumpPAY solution for pay-at-the-pump. PAYMEDIA was developed to provide an entertaining and engaging mix of content and advertising to enhance the customer’s experience at the gas pump while generating profits for convenience operators.

According to the official statement PAYMEDIA for Secure PumpPAY is powered by the VeriFone Digital Network (VNET), currently playing in more than 10,000 taxi cabs throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.

A civil antitrust lawsuit was filed by the Justice Department against the acquisition by VeriFone Systems Inc. of Hypercom Corp. In the official statement the DOJ said that the deal would substantially trim the competition in the market of point-of-sale terminals in America which in turn would result in higher prices and lame innovation.

While Hypercom and VeriFone proposed their plan to fix the antitrust concerns it failed to adequately resolve those concerns, says the Department.

VeriFone Systems, Inc introduced a new comprehensive, subscription-based offering known as PAYMEDIA Solutions to provide small to medium-sized merchants with payment solutions and access to payment-enabled media at the checkout counter including the integration of online services such as digital couponing, loyalty, location-based social media and value-added services.

VeriFone Systems Inc has teamed up with LifeNexus Inc for iChip acceptance software on VeriFone payment acceptance solutions. LifeNexus is making the Personal Health Card which is the first multi-purpose electronic health card utilizing the embedded iChip for securely maintaining an individual’s health record and incorporates a payment card option.

VeriFone Systems Inc unveiled its next version of PAYware Mobile Service for global markets. The updated release features VeriFone's sleek mobile payment solution and gateway service and brings international payment standards including NFC and EMV smart card, with PCI-compliant PIN keypad for Chip & PIN transactions, to popular smart phones.

Elavon, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp and a provider of global payment services, will be marketing and supporting VeriFone Systems, Inc.’s PAYware Mobile secure card payment system for iPhone™. Using the solution customers can transform their iPhones into mobile payment devices with a card encryption sleeve that allows merchants to capture data via card swipe.

First Data Corporation is partnering with VeriFone Systems on a new VeriFone edition of the First Data TransArmor solution for U.S. multi-lane and petroleum merchants.

The new solution will allow businesses who use VeriFone's MX 800 series of devices, Secure PumpPay and the Ruby point-of-sale (POS) solutions to take advantage of a complete security solution combining VeriFone's VeriShield encryption along with tokenization technology from RSA, the Security Division of EMC Corporation.

VeriFone Systems Inc has partnered with RSA, the Security Division of EMC, to market their conjoint end-to-end encryption and tokenization solutions as an integrated payment security offering to be branded VeriShield Total Protect.

When implemented, VeriShield Total Protect will use industry-proven security technology and leverage electronic payment systems deployed in the majority of merchants world-wide to provide a consistent, consolidated approach to protecting payment card data from end-to-end, both pre- and post-authorization.

VeriFone Systems, Inc. announced that Global Payments Inc., a provider of electronic payment processing services, will be distributing and supporting VeriFone’s PAYware Mobile secure card payment system in Canada. Thus, Global Payments becomes the first to offer Canadian consumers VeriFone’s unique card processing solution for the iPhone mobile digital device.

VeriFone has unveiled its intension to extend its focusing on end-to-end encryption solutions with the purchasing of encryption leader Semtek.

Earlier, VeriFone invested in Semtek’s equity funding.

Such an acquisition enables VeriFone to integrate the development, sales, implementation, and support of end-to-end encryption products into the existing VeriFone organization.

Besides, VeriFone is offering royalty-free software licenses to device manufacturers and payment processors to further spur market adoption.
 

VeriFone Holdings has selected Chase Paymentech as the preferred provider of new merchant accounts for buyers of VeriFone’s PAYware Mobile iPhone card payment solution sold through Apple Retail Stores and the Apple Store online beginning April 6.

VeriFone Holdings, Inc. today announced a licensing agreement for deployment of its taxi payment and media solutions in South Africa. The agreement with iMobilise Transportation Systems (iMTS) will modernize taxis in time for the World Cup in June.
iMTS anticipates installation of VeriFone systems in 1,500 taxis in the urban centers of Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Deployments will begin this spring and provide passengers with the latest in passenger information technology and payment options including credit cards, Chip and PIN-based debit, and contactless.

 VeriFone Holdings has introduced its new payment solution called PAYware Mobile which is meant for the Apple iPhone. The company says that the solution provides small businesses with simple and secure card processing capabilities on the popular smartphone platform.

January 15 was scheduled for the shipping of the hardware and software solution which is available free to those who sign up for a PAYware Mobile secure gateway service agreement. 

 Heartland Payment Systems gained an approval of its application with the New Jersey Federal Court on Monday. The payment processor asked for an order to show cause against VeriFone Holdings Inc. An expedited hearing on Heartland‘s injunction on its Lanham Act false-advertising claims was scheduled for December 7. Meantime, VeriFone’s request to transfer these claims to the Northern District of California was denied by the court. Besides, VeriFone took down the website that was using the Heartland name to lure Heartland customers.
