Today General Motors and eBay are going to announce the start of their previously reported trial that will allow hundreds of GM’s California dealers to sell new cars and trucks through the online marketplace. Buyers will be able to bargain about the prices and trade in their old car for money toward a new one under the government's just-refilled "cash-for-clunkers" stimulus program.

A new survey commissioned by ING Direct and conducted by TNS, a global market research group, showed that Americans are on the first place among other countries when it comes to making less purchases on credit cards in order to save more money. 46% of respondents from the US said that they were avoiding credit card use in order to pocket the extra cash. The United States ranked highest out of the eight other countries examined.

eBay Motors, a part of eBay Inc. and the Internet's largest marketplace for buying and selling all things automotive, announced that it launched eBay Motors Local Classifieds for individual sellers. This new online classified listing feature enables connection of car buyers and sellers within a 100 mile radius of their local market and is offered for free to sellers for a limited time.
