Microsoft promotes the latest Xbox 360 version

Finally! Microsoft has already started rolling out of its latest version of Xbox 360 firmware.

The updated Xbox 360 version will let upgraded consoles use any connected USB Mass Storage devices.

Up to 16GB of any connected drive can be assigned for the Xbox to use and allocating the storage to the console won't zap data already on the drive provided there's sufficient free space for the Xbox partition.

New version of Internet Gambling Regulation brings $30 billion to US

As it became known Thursday, The Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative unveiled its intention to uphold strongly Representative Jim McDermott, who has presented an updated version of the Internet Gambling Regulation and Tax Enforcement Act of 2010.

The updated act is to provide guarantee taxes and fees collected from wagers placed online in order to raise much-needed revenue for federal and state budgets.

Updates tested for Windows7? They are fake

It has been announced by Microsoft that it plans to test Windows 7's update mechanism with 10 fake updates in the coming week.

Users of Windows 7 RC, which publicly debuted late on May 4, will be able to test updates beginning from Tuesday, May 12, said Brandon LeBlanc, a Microsoft spokesman. He explained the news by saying Microsoft wanted to verify its "ability to deliver and manage updating of Windows 7 in certain real-life scenarios."

Facebook updates the function of reporting updates

Facebook is introducing a new live stream on its home page.

The live, real-time stream will enable users to stay updated on things happening without them having to press the refresh button. The page will be acting as a user-controlled scrolling marquee.

The update follows a real-time option introduced in FriendFeed of the site last week. Although, there was a possibility to click a pause button and stop updates from scrolling automatically, many users had complained that it created a sense of information overload.

Microsoft said that starting the third week of April users of IE 6 and 7 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 will be receiving notifications through the Automate Update service that encourages them to upgrade their system to the latest IE 8 version of the browser.
