GBC implements Hypercom’s solution to expand e-payments in Europe

On Sunday Hypercom Corporation announced that it will provide GBC, the leading provider of payment and processing systems in Hungary and a subsidiary of SIA-SSB, with its Optimum T4200 card payment terminals. Hypercom’s Optimum T4200 solution was selected by the GBS to expand electronic payments in Hungary and other Central and Eastern European countries including Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Visa payWave cards will be accepted in 360 Second Cup stores

Visa Inc. payment system has announced today that Second Cup has joined a growing roster of Visa payWave(TM) contactless payment enabled merchants, which will allow consumers to simply "wave and go" when making every day transactions like purchasing coffee. It was announced that by the end of March 2009 360 Second Cup stores in Canada will be equipped with Visa payWave enabled terminals.

Ukash will teach South Africans how to bank

Ukash payment processor has announced the launch of its services in South Africa the most population of which is unbanked. Talks about this event have appeared long enough however the move came a month after Gold Label Investments, a subsidiary of South Africa's Blue Label Telecoms, agreed to buy a 17.25% stake in Smart Voucher, which operates under the Ukash brand.
