Apple prepares to launch iOS 4.3.2 in the coming weeks

According to new reports by some tech blogs Apple is to release its iOS 4.3.2 as early as in the next two weeks. The report on the BGR website says that the new iOS will feature some critical updates which include some enhancements and flaw fixes, providing no details of what these updates would be.

At the end of March iOS 4.3.1 was released and addressed some graphics-related fixes: one for an occasional glitch on the fourh-generation iPod Touch and one for flickering problems when using the Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs.

Sony warns its VAIO laptops are overheating due to bug in BIOS, update needed

Sony announced this week that some of its notebooks may be affected by a bug that leads to overheating. On its official website the company warned:

Dear Valued Sony VAIO Customer,

Sony takes pride in the quality of its products.

Recently, we became aware of a potential issue affecting certain notebooks within the VAIO VPCF11- and VPCCW2-series, available on the market in Europe since January 2010.

Microsoft's IIS 6 Web-server software admits hackers to servers

It was announced that the vulnerability of Microsoft's Internet Information Services 6 Web-server software that was posted to the Full Disclosure security mailing list by a security researcher Nikolaos Rangos, was being used for online attacks. 

IIS 6 users who have enabled the WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) protocols, used to share documents via the Web were forecasted to be subject to attacks.
