Charles Nenner, founder and president of Charles Nenner research, forecasts that the Dow Jones Industrial Average will lose about half of its value over the next couple of years as it follows a Nikkei-like pattern of several sharp rallies in an overall decline.

Forex news: the yen declines against the dollar and franc on Asian stocks rise

During early Thursday deals in Asia the Japanese yen dropped to multi-day lows against the US and Swiss counterparts as a rise in most Asian stocks reduced demand for the safe-haven Japanese currency.

The yen declined against the Swiss franc during early Asian deals on Thursday. The yen is currently trading at a 2-day low of 82.25 against the franc with 82.7 seen as the next downside target level. At yesterday's close, the franc-yen pair was quoted at 81.97.

Currencies market is the next destination of the global crisis

Jim Rogers, chairman of Rogers Holdings predicted that the next financial meltdown would be in the currency markets, due to central banks around the world printing money and weaken their currencies.

Rogers stated he has bought the yen because he expected the Japanese currency to withstand future problems, but he added he wasn’t buying the yen any more.
