Scammers no longer need skimming, they can buy fake ATM on eBay

 While many cardholders today are used to run across ATM frauds like skimming devices and cameras when withdrawing money there are still plenty of ways invented by criminals to scam unwitting victims. As it was recently reported by one expert Boston scammers may use fraudulent ATMs that as it turns out could be bought right from eBay or Craigslist.

8 pleaded guilty in Clyde's, M&S Grill and 701 credit card scam

The cardholders discovered unknown charges on their credit cards after they had eaten at well-known Washington restaurants. The investigation began last year when Citigroup contacted the Secret Service after calls from customers. Agents tracked the fraudulent transactions back to the restaurants.

Australian police is hunting the criminals who stole over $500,000 from ATMs

Australian police is seeking for the thieves that are suspected of stealing over $500,000 from ANZ customer bank accounts. The criminals withdrew money using details obtained from a skimming device attached to a cash machine in Melbourne. As police said, an international syndicate may be responsible and have already released pictures of two men that might help with the investigation.
