Bulgaria, that represents one of the countries in the Balkans in south-eastern Europe, appeared to become the third-largest country in Southeast Europe (after Romania and Greece). Bulgaria is a member of the European Union, NATO, the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. According to official statistics the country has a high Human Development Index of 0.840, ranking 61st in the world in 2009.

Payment system Paymate appoints new CEO and opens headquarters in California

Paymate, an innovative provider of Internet payment services, announced today that Mr. Garrett Gafke has been named Chief Executive Officer. Gafke, who was appointed to Paymate's Board of Directors in January 2009, succeeds Mr. Dilip Rao, Paymate's founder and founding Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rao was named President. The new executive appointments are effective immediately.

Google and Nasa gathered their efforts to prepare scientists for an era when machines become cleverer than people supporting a new school for futurists in Silicon Valley. The head of the new institution “Singularity University” will be Ray Kurzweil, an American inventor, who predicted completed changes in technological development that made him controversial figure in technology circles.
