Depending on how net savvy you are you may or may not have heard about a virtual world called Second life. As the name suggests it’s a world where real people go to live virtual lives. You can even go so far as to call it a replica of the real world. With 11 million users, 800 million square miles of virtual land a full time reporter to write about the happenings of Second life and companies

Linden Lab announced today that its plans for separating out adult content from the rest of Second Life became more determined. The initial idea was to solicit community feedback for definitions of adult content, filter that out of search results and locate it on a separate virtual continent. More concrete plan includes now definitions of PG, Mature, and Adult content for ratings and preferences, a more austere age verification system, and the launch of a new viewer with more controls.
