AlertPay payment system has finally updated the information on problems which recently have occurred. Here is the original text of the company's statement:

AlertPay, so when will it pay?

AlertPay, a known online payment processor that recently had their customers’ accounts terminated by the Royal Bank of Canada provided further information about the issue. The payment service reported on their website that they received updated information from Multi-Marketing Corp which is AlertPay’s ACH/EFT service provider through Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

AlertPay still waiting for RBC’s explanation

An update was posted by AlertPay payment system concerning their issue with the Royal Bank of Canada. The processor reported that they are still waiting for complete information from the bank and while they contacted every relevant instances from Account Manager, Branch Manager, Ombudsman (supposedly an independent mediator), and Legal Department to get an explanation AlertPay was not given any further clarification so far.

AlertPay reports problems with US and Canada account holders

“Unfortunately, a glitch by our banking partner in their system upgrade has resulted in a technical issue which is directly impacting our bank transfer functions at this time. We expect that they will resolve their issue shortly. Until this issue is remedied, we will have to disable Bank Transfers to account holders in USA and Canada,” said AlertPay.

Having consolidated their forces Royal Bank of Canada, Visa and Rogers Wireless are preparing for the next phase of a mobile phone payment pilot. First they will introduce the employee pilot, then in the middle of 2009 the customer phase of the mobile phone payment trial will start.
