Apple executive responsible for iPhone 4 is fired for antenna issue?

An executive who oversaw development of the iPhone 4 at Apple is leaving his post. Mark Papermaster has been head of Apple's iPhone and iPod hardware engineering department since 2009 when he joined the company from IBM.

According to many speculations his departure is linked to the problems with the antenna on the iPhone 4. Meantime, Apple, declined to comment on the reasons for his departure and say whether he resigns or is fired.

Geithner replaces the director of the Office of Thrift Supervision

The Office of Thrift Supervision has announced that its acting director, Scott Polakoff, was placed on leave "pending a review by the Department of the Treasury of the OTS' August 2008 actions." Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has named OTS Chief Counsel John Bowman for replacing Polakoff as acting director.

Polakoff was assigned to the position of an acting-director position after OTS Director John Reich had resigned last month.

CEO of ICANN resigns from his position at the end of 2009

At the opening session of ICANN's 34th International Public Meeting in Mexico City Paul Twomey, the President and Chief Executive Officer of ICANN, announced his decision to resign from his position. 1,200 attendees from every corner of the globe learned that Twomey had advised ICANN's Board of Directors that he will not seek renewal of his contract and will move on from ICANN at the end of 2009.
