More than half European websites are illegal

More than half the European websites that sell electronic consumer goods are not complying with the law, the European Commission has found.

Police and trading standard authorities are now following up the findings with website owners. Six of the 14 UK websites studied will receive a visit from the authorities.

This autosurf program which known as casualsurf was just one sort of a program which ran by a careless admin. This program was launched on January 7th and offered one type of plan which was a 2% daily for 65 days or a total of 130% upon plan maturity.

However, after a few months of running, the admin decided to close down the program. He has kept making pay outs slowly to the members until everybody gets at least a certain percentage of refund.

Currently, the website is still online and waiting for every upgrade that the members have purchased to expire, and only then the admin will take the website offline.

Apple is burking incidents of iPod exploding

According to the Times, Apple tried to reach a confidential settlement with a father and daughter after the child’s iPod music player exploded and the family sought a refund from the company. The family would be offered a full refund only if they were willing to sign a settlement form. The proposed agreement left them open to legal action if they ever disclosed the terms of the settlement.

Advanta credit card lender fined $35million for unsafe practices

According to the Reuters report, small-business credit card lender that a month earlier cut off 1 million accounts, Advanta Corp, was ordered by the FDIC to refund as much as $35 million to customers because of alleged "unsafe or unsound" practices and to plan to stop taking bank deposits.

One agreement addressed allegations that Advanta break federal trade laws through its pricing strategies on business credit cards and in its marketing of cash-back rewards on the cards.
