Firethorn subscribes American Apparel to its mobile gift card service

Firethorn, a subsidiary of Qualcomm, announced that American Apparel has subscribed to its upcoming SWAGG mobile service. SWAGG was developed by Firethorn to allow customers to purchase, personalize and exchange gift cards directly from a mobile device. SWAGG will also provide consumers mobile access to account information, special offers and loyalty programs.

Qualcomm has announced the launch of two new models for high-end smartphones, each with two processor cores running at up to 1.2GHz targeting to expand Snapdragon family of chipsets, to be round the corner.

Nokia partnering with Qualcomm

Nokia and Qualcomm have announced they will work together on 3G smartphone products, initially for North America. The partners aim at the remaining growth segment of the handset market. It has also been revealed that the products will not be out for sale until the middle of next year.
