Porn industry continues its policy of being a diligent follower of modern trends in hi-tech. Soon after Apple launched its iPhone 4 with the FaceTime feature adult-entertainment companies started developing video-sex chats and hiring workers through Craigslist.

In at least five cities, Craigslist ads seek models specifically for video sex chat on FaceTime. Many of the ads even offer to throw in a free iPhone 4 for the new employees.

YouTube has introduced a new optional feature to allow parents set up a video mode that will prevent their offsprings from seeing an abusive and obscene content on the website.

The Safety Mode allows users to filter potentially objectionable content from YouTube that might not be nixed under its community guidelines, such as war coverage or a newsworthy video that contains violence. Besides, parents also can filter obscene user comments.

According to a study, conducted by Symantec Corp, computer security company, children are increasingly using the Internet to watch YouTube videos, connect with friends on social network sites and look up "sex" and "porn”.

Symantec identified the top 100 Web searches conducted between February and July through its family safety service OnlineFamily.Norton, which monitors children's and teenager's Internet use.

The European Commission unveiled an interesting fact: half of 10 year old kids in the EU own mobile phones. This figure reaches 95% concerning all the kids under 16 years old. However parents are still anxious that their children are not protected enough.  

So, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland and Luxembourg don’t have "voluntary" agreements requiring operators to control access to adult-orientated material. In those countries only 41% of operators worry whether those measures are working.
