PayPal is delighted to announce, it’s working with Green Dot, MoneyPak provider, on a special promotion that is set to kick off today.

The certain promotion runs this year from September 1st through November 14th and will give $10 to all PayPal customers who try MoneyPak for the first time, as well as the chance to win $1,000 every day in a daily drawing.

According to the latest reports an online auction giant eBay will no longer support Google Checkout payment system starting next July. Users won’t be allowed to use any checkout service except eBay’s own payment processor PayPal.

Explaining the move the company says it wants “to give eBay buyers a consistent, speedy checkout experience and to ensure support for fast-growing sales via mobile platforms...,” Todd Lutwak, eBay’s vice president of the seller experience, wrote in a little-noticed blog post last week.

WePay launched two Facebook applications to allow the members to collect money for events and groups.

With the first app dubbed Sell Tickets users can sell tickets for any Facebook event and creat an event directly from the app itself.

WePay’s second application the Collect Money allows members to collect money from members of any Facebook Group. All payments that take place are redirected to WePay’s site, ensuring security for credit card and bank account payments.

On Monday reports surfaced on the Internet about major security bug in iTunes accounts that allowed hackers to drain a lot of money from PayPal. However, in fact the complaints of the problem that was experienced by many iTunes customers has been submitted on the online forums since the beginning of August and even earlier.

Mike Vergara, director of consumer protections for PayPal, wrote in a company blog that the online payments leader is cooperating with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) and a group of private companies, nonprofits and government agencies to educate people about the importance of online security, and how a single person’s actions can affect millions.

eBay is delighted to announce the launch of new program "Bucks" rewards program in the US under the name eBay Bucks. 

The new program is free and open to every American eBay user. Consumers thus are enabled to get 2% back on most items purchased through eBay's Marketplace with PayPal.
