Barclays upgrades online banking service with NEFT facility

According to Business Standard, Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Bank India, part of the global Barclays Group, has upgraded its ‘Online Banking’ service, with National Electronic Funds Transfer facility. NEFT service enables Barclays account holders to transfer small value payments from one branch to another, without any delays or procedural hassles over a secure platform. The funds will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank using the Reserve Bank of Payment Interface.

Fiserv survey reveals four of five households use online banking services

The results of a recent consumer survey, conducted by the Marketing Workshop and Harris Interactive, showed that more than two million U.S. households adopted online banking and bill payment during the last year. A total of 69.7 million households, representing four out of five households with Internet access, now use online banking services, primarily to access balance and account history and transfer money between accounts.
