Germany and France have hammered out a decision for Greek crisis

German and French leaders have come to a consensus over the second bailout for Greece in a move to avert crisis for the whole Europe and the world.

After 7 hours of talks between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Berlin. European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet was present for part of their talks.

Now their decision will be presented to crisis summit in Brussels on Thursday starting at 1100 GMT of all 17 leaders of the bloc.

Hadopi: 2 years jail for downloading music from the Internet

France is likely to obtain a law protecting the privacy right on the Internet. It became known that the French Senate has finally adopted the Internet piracy bill, which was previously rejected as unconstitutional one. 

It should be told that the law was previously adopted in May however blocked in a month by the court. Previously it was proposed to disconnect the users caught downloading music and video illegally.

French court rejected Nicolas Sarkozy’s bill on Internet piracy

According to the recent reports of Reuters the top constitutional court of France has reject the law offered by President Nicolas Sarkozy on Internet piracy.

The legislation aimed at stopping the illegal Internet downloading and restricting of the access for repeat offenders was found unconstitutional by the court. According to the court the punishment offered by Nicolas Sarkozy was too severe and it was ruled out that such punishment as the Internet access restriction can be introduced only a judge, other agencies are allowed only to issue warnings

It was announced that EMC is intended to enforce the non-compete clause to the court over its ex-executive VP David Donatelli, who is set to join HP.

Donatelli, a 22-year president of EMC's storage business with intimate and up to date knowledge of EMC's operations, storage roadmap, partnership with Cisco, strategies concerning VMware, and product and technology roadmaps, had suddenly resigned from his position.

At the summit of German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and British leaders held in Berlin German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that the sort of rampant speculation and misuse of leverage that occurred in the credit bubble would not be tolerated. European leaders that were gathered there agreed to apply strict measures so as to regulate hedge funds which is viewed by some observers as crucial for London. Hedge funds are considered to play a major role in the City’s financial growth.
