NatWest launched banking app for iPhone and iPod touch

NatWest bank recently launched an iPhone application offering a range of useful, but limited functionality. Perhaps a victim of their own publicity, early users reported a slow buggy start for the high-profile application. Thankfully things have improved, and future updates are doing to be addressed to some obvious shortcomings.

Mobil? phone giant O2 has set up a personal finance unit and launched two pre-paid cards as it looks to tap into the growing mobile banking market. Besides, the Telefónica subsidiary and high street bank NatWest have partnered for the free Visa cards; Cash Manager, for adults and Load & Go, targeted at teenagers.

Unprecedented service under partnership of NatWest and Monilink

First commission-free international service for mobile phone payment transfers between customers’ current accounts in the UK and their PKO BP accounts in Poland was introduced by NatWest in association with Monilink, the mobile money people. NatWest announced that its Polish Welcome Account customers can now send money home to spend over the Christmas period. Thus, Welcome Account customers now have an additional convenience of making money transfers from their mobile phones.
