The Merchant Risk Council (MRC), a merchant-led trade association announced today the finalists for the 2011 MRC Emerging Technology Awards (METAwards) that recognize the most innovative payment, fraud and security tools in electronic commerce – as judged by a diverse panel of online and multi-channel merchants.

The Merchant Risk Council (MRC), a merchant-led trade association focused on electronic commerce risk and payments globally, is set to host the inaugural European e-Commerce Payments and Risk Conference 1-3 September in Amsterdam.

This conference signifies the beginning of uniting European and global merchants, solution providers, card brands, payment processors, law enforcement and other industry stakeholders in reducing online payment fraud and improving operational efficiencies pertaining to data security risks and payment strategies.

Led by Nicolas Vedrenne, MRC Managing Director for Europe, the Madrid office connects merchants, risk management solution providers, law enforcement officials and financial institutions with specific programmes that are dedicated to making e-Commerce more efficient, safe and profitable.
