Western Union certifies mChek and Fundamo to offer its remittance services

The Western Union Company reported the certification of two participants in its Mobile Vendor Program: India-based mChek and South Africa-based Fundamo. The money transfer company announced the launch of the program at the GSMA Mobile Money Summit in Barcelona, Spain, in June of last year.

The main focus of the program is to extend the reach and accessibility of Western Union Money Transfer® services to mobile finance initiatives in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

ICICI Bank observes to facilitate mChek services to customers

ICICI Bank today announced an association with mChek, a leading mobile service provider, to facilitate mChek services to all ICICI debit and credit card customers. The company issued electronic cards to the mChek application on the customer's mobile phone. Visa International, a leading international electronic payment network, had earlier approved mChek as a platform which could issue an electronic mChek Visa card to deliver the convenience of mobile transaction with added security.
