According to the recent report of Tealeaf based on the survey conducted by Harris Interactive®, 83% of 10 million of the UK online consumers faced problems when making online payments through their mobile devices.   

Ukash has launched its first iPhone app to offer consumers the chance to load, send and spend cash online as the popularity and functionality of m-commerce continues to grow.

The Ukash iPhone app, which is free to download and can be accessed through iTunes, provides another platform for consumers to store manage their Ukash vouchers on the move. Users can also use their current location to find the nearest store selling Ukash. Apps for other devices are also in development and will be launched later in 2011.

Western Union has announced its partnership with Etisalat Group serving 135 million customers, to offer mobile transfer services in 18 countries of Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Now subscribers of Etisalat mobile operator can easily send and receive Western Union Money Transfer® transactions using their mobile “wallets,” or accounts tied to their mobile phones.

Mobibucks, that delivers unique payment and incentive products for making purchases using a mobile phone number, announced Thursday it noticed a significant increase in demand for its products over the last six months in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The research conducted by consultancy firm A C Nielsen, in which 1,012 people from seven cities participated, revealed that the Indians use m-commerce to pay their mobile bills. Purchasing movie tickets is the next activity executed with mobile phones which accounts for 15%.
