Visa Inc posted its year results for Latin America and Caribbean businesses. During the year ended December 31, 2010 the company achieved regional payments volume growth of 23.2% with Brazil recording 24.6%, Mexico 16.8%, and the rest of Latin America and Caribbean as a group reporting a 22.8% yearly growth. |

In addition to its coverage in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, mopay just added 11 new countries. The total number of states where mopay offers its services now makes up 75. |

GlobalCollect has expanded the coverage of paysafecard in Latin American market by increasing the number of countries where the service is offered. Now it is also available in Argentina. Paysafecard allows consumers to make online cash payments in their local currencies without any need in bank account or credit card.

Monday, in its quarterly report filed with the SEC, Bank of America revealed its second-quarter profit of $3.22 billion in total before preferred dividends thus showing better than expected results which was encouraged by the bank's foreign operations.
The BofA reported it lost about $255 million in the US as the losses from failed loans continued to rise.

Brazilian outstanding bank lending expanded for second consecutive month, the latest sign that Latin America’s largest economy is pulling out of its deepest contraction in over a decade. The central bank of Brasilia today decalred that state and non-state bank lending rose 0.4 % to 1.25 trillion reais ($621 billion) last month from a revised 1.24 trillion reais in March. Lending climbed 22.6 % from the same month last year.
