Spotify is taking on Apple’s iTune with offline mode

Spotify is now challenging iTunes as a rival for consumers’ digital music library. The company plans to offer its subscribers offline mode enabling to 'dial an album' to listen to even on the way home with no extra charge. That's something Apple can't currently match.

The main difference is in no featuring Spotify with CD burning. However, all the music is in a DRM encrypted format, so user can easily lose it when he is leaving.

Newer version of Apple`s iTunes no longer provides syncing functionality

Palm`s spokesman confirmed that Pre owners can no longer use Apple's iTunes to sync their smartphones to Macs or PCs. Apple said that it updated iTunes to Version 8.2.1, which provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices.
