Payment system Paymate appoints new CEO and opens headquarters in California

 Paymate, an innovative provider of Internet payment services, announced today that Mr. Garrett Gafke has been named Chief Executive Officer. Gafke, who was appointed to Paymate's Board of Directors in January 2009, succeeds Mr. Dilip Rao, Paymate's founder and founding Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rao was named President. The new executive appointments are effective immediately.

Perfect Money users can instantly deposit their accounts via SMS

An Internet payment system Perfect Money announced this week that it had introduced a new option to deposit Perfect Money accounts. Now users can send funds from any mobile phone to Perfect Money accounts.

On the official site of the company it was said: “The main advantages of SMS deposit are: speed and wide availability of SMS payments around the world. You can make SMS deposit from almost any country of the world!”

Half of the Irish population banks online

A 28% increase in the number of registered online banking customers was recorded during 2008 in Ireland. Irish Banking Federation (IBF) and Irish Payment Services Organization released the report that shows 2.2 million customers were registered for online banking by the end of 2008 as compared with 1.8 million recorded at the end of 2007 while the population of the country is just about 4.4 million.

More merchants to accept RevolutionCard through Chase Paymentech

Chase Paymentech Solutions LLC established the deal with Revolution Money Inc., a St. Petersburg payments firm. Now Chase Paymentech, a business unit of JPMorgan Chase, is accepting RevolutionCard transactions for online and retail merchants. The partnership is aimed at increasing the number of merchants who accept the card. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
