PartyGaming to merge with bwin Interactive Entertainment

According to the reports in the Sunday Times the popular online gambling company PartyGaming is in talks with the Austrian rival bwin Interactive Entertainment over the possible agreement so as to combine their businesses and create an Internet gambling giant.

According to the report the two companies have been holding on-off talks since the summer about combining to create a group worth 2 billion pounds ($3.30 billion).

The report released last week resumes the probe that was launched after the Remote Gambling Association filed a complaint against the U.S. The work concludes that US laws deny access and discriminate against foreign suppliers of gambling and betting services inconsistently with US WTO obligations.
