PC sales are expected to show enormous growth in 2010

As reflected the latest research from IDC, global PC sales are expected to face nearly 20% growth this year.

As the research firm found, worldwide PC shipments in the first three months of the year were 27.1% higher than in the first quarter of 2009. So the company expects further growth nearing to 20% compared to 2009.

As IDC noted an easing of economic troubles together with renewed consumer and corporate buying is giving the PC industry a much-needed boost.

Computer manufacturers facing worst recession

Gartner Research reports that computer makers are facing their worst times this year and PC shipments are expected to fall 12% in 2009, exceeding the previous record of 2001 when they were down 11.1%. The global server sales have also been found to have fallen 15.1% in the fourth quarter of the last year while mobile phone shipments decreased 4.6%.

China’s ecommerce predicted to grow 28%

In spite of the financial crisis that severely impacted Chinese economy ecommerce market players like Alibaba.com are predicted to show high growth rates over the following several years. IDC China, an internationally renowned market research company, recently released a white paper on China's e-commerce service sector where the agency notes that ecommerce businesses will create a large number of employment opportunities in the country.
