Matt Cutts posted new video footage at Google Webmaster Central where he answered the question of a user: “More or less content on a homepage?”

“You can have too much,” says Cutts. “So I wouldn’t have a homepage that has 20MB. You know, that takes a long time to download, and users who are on a dial-up or a modem, a slow connection, they’ll get angry at you.”

Today Yahoo is releasing its new homepage for US users in a move to make its website more relevant to the modern trends, meeting the needs of the web surfers. Besides, the company also strives to create new ways for selling ads. According to the official sources the new homepage is a combination of Yahoo's collection of online content and products with popular social networking services like Facebook and Twitter.
