GlobalPlatform creates a group to help TSMs

GlobalPlatform has created a new Trusted Service Manager (TSM) Working Group within its Systems Committee. The company explains the launch of the group by the market demand saying it will focus initial activity on specifying a standard language to facilitate communication between TSMs operating within the banking sector and mobile network operators (MNO).

American Express to help developing smart card infrastructure with GlobalPlatfor

GlobalPlatform, the international specification body for smart card infrastructure, has announced that American Express has joined as its newest Full Member. Amex’s initial focus will be to participate in GlobalPlatform’s current standardization efforts to support the convergence of the payment and mobile technical landscapes.

GlobalPlatform and AEPM develop their relationship

GlobalPlatform, the international specification body for smart card infrastructure, and the Association Européenne Payez Mobile have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The MoU will ensure that any future technical advances made by the organizations are aligned, and will also facilitate joint efforts to further detail revolutionary mobile payment business models that will encourage end-user adoption.
