Not only footballers are gearing up for this month's World Cup extravaganza in South Africa, fraudsters are also aiming at FIFA. 

Football governing body FIFA has already warned supporters to be wary over various forms of scams that are likely to crop up in the run-up to the start of the tournament, which kicks off in ten days time.

70 cybercrooks were arrested by Romanian police this week on the allegations they used compromised eBay profiles to defraud buyers on the online auction.

After the cyber crooks obtained the login credentials of the legitimate users via phishing scam they used these trusted accounts to offer non-existent luxury goods. Buyers paid for the lots but never received these items.
