Forbes are no longer CEOs of Forbes Media

Steve and Tim Forbes are leaving their executive positions at Forbes Media ceding the place to the media veteran Mike Perlis who was named president and chief executive officer of Forbes Media. Steve Forbes had been CEO of the company and Tim Forbes was the chief operating officer.

While Steve Forbes will remain chairman and editor-in-chief of the privately held Forbes Media Tim Forbes will remain as chairman of Forbes Digital and will be a member of the company's board, but Perlis said he will no longer be COO and that no one will hold that title.

According to the list of the most influential people in the world which was compiled by the Forbes magazine Bill Gates is more powerful than Steve Jobs, while Oracle’s CEO Larry Ellison doesn’t matter at all, because he was not included in at least some lower position of the chart.

"There are 6.8 billion people on the planet. Here are the 68 who matter," is how Forbes introduces its latest list of world tycoons: "The World's Most Powerful People".

America still remains a country of inequality when paying compensation to women

 Being a good example of democratic and rightful society America has still retained many prejudices. In particular this is much evident when it comes to women’s role in the economical and political live of the nation. Forbes magazine published a post where it cited some most paid female CEOs in the US with a clause that says women are still less compensated on these positions than their male peers.

 Forbes published its annual rich Americans ranking that showed the 400 wealthiest people in the US lost $300 billion of net worth in the past year. The list of wealthiest Americans, released on Wednesday, reports that Warren Buffet suffered the most with losses accounting for $10 billion in net worth as shares of his Berkshire Hathaway dropped.

Meantime, the list of the 10 riches Americans remained unchanged as compared with 2008. Microsoft’s Bill Gates still topped the rankings with a fortune of $50 billion, a $7 billion decrease against the previous year.

New York is ranked No 1 city of American love

The survey conducted by the Forbes magazine revealed that New York is rated the best U.S. city for singles. It is the first time New York wins the title in the annual poll that checked 40 of the largest U.S. urban areas for coolness, cost of living alone, culture, job growth, online dating, nightlife and ratio of singles to the entire population in the area. Previously it was Atlanta who occupied the first place.

According to this report, happiness levels are highest in northern European countries.

Forbes published a list of top 10 billionaire cities

A known magazine Forbes has published the list of the richest cities in the world. According to this reputable edition New York became home to more billionaires than any other city in the world. Here is the full  article published at forbes.com. 

After losing out to Moscow last year, New York is once again the primary residence of more billionaires than anywhere else in the world. And that's after it lost more than a fifth of its billionaires.
