Crisis in euro zone worsens on fears of debt restructuring in Greece

euro and some euro zone bonds were hit by concerns over possible debt restructuring in Greece. Germany said that Berlin does not believe Greece, which sealed a 110 billion euro ($158 billion) bailout from the EU and IMF a year ago, would make it through the summer without a restructuring.

Besides, on the sidelines of elections of anti-euro party in Finland Portugal’s pending bailout came also under question which impacted market confidence.

 The Legatum Institute, an independent policy, advocacy and advisory organization, published on Tuesday its 2009 Legatum Prosperity Index which ranked 104 countries according to the economic prosperity and basic human freedoms. Thus, the best country in the list where people can enjoy freedom of expression as much as health, wealth, and prosperity was Finland.

The Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) released the results of a new survey it conducted to estimate the level of happiness across the Europe. Thus, the study revealed that the highest level of happiness are recorded in Northern European countries with Denmark leading the list.
