Opera 11 will look more like the rest of browsers with extensions approved

At the Up North Web global press day on Thursday the Norwegian company Opera announced that it would soon release its alpha preview of Opera 11. The latest version of the popular browser will feature a set of extensions with official support for the experience-enhancing plugins.

Opera is adding plugin support to its standard-based toolset which a sign that Opera wants to walk in pace with the rest of the industry. Previously it was Firefox that promoted browser extensions with Chrome and Safari following its steps.

YouTube’s extending maximum download length up to 15 minutes

As it became known YouTube is now planning to boost the maximum upload length to 15 minutes, giving the site’s millions of amateur directors a bit more leg room. 

It’s well known, for years YouTube has enabled its users to upload as many videos as they wanted, but no more than 10 minutes in length, unless user was not part of one of YouTube’s special partner programs.

Citi focuses its efforts on 6 cities

 Citigroup unveiled its intention to focus its marketing efforts on six cities, New York, Washington, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, according to Thursday’s Wall Street Journal report. 

Thus, Citi, encouraging its retail banking business development, plans to extend branch hours and refurbish branches in chosen cities.

Scottrade opens its 425th office

Leading online investment company Scottrade Monday opened its 425th branch in North Little Rock, Ark, extending its nationwide network. 

It is Scottrade’s second branch office in the Little Rock area and one of more than 50 branch offices scheduled to open across the country this year. As it’s known the other offices opening are to be located in Somers Point, N.J., and Portage, Mich.
