Last week member countries of International Monetary Fund expressed their concern over rising inflation in emerging markets fearing that it could have adverse effect on rich countries too.

On Saturday the 187 IMF states recognized the alarm among developing countries about huge inflows of speculative cash that are stoking their growth but also their inflation rates.

IMF thinks emerging markets like China are overheating and coming to inflation

A top International Monetary Fund official warned this week that overheating is threatening to the emerging economies that powered the global recovery because of the too fast growth.

Emerging markets like China and Brazil made every effort to contain inflation and seize heavy flows of investments. IMF’s first deputy managing director, John Lipsky said that the fund is increasingly concerned about the excessive growth.

Emerging-market stocks rise on gain in China PMI

Emerging-market stocks rose, posting their first consecutive gains in two weeks, as the fastest Chinese manufacturing growth since April 2004 added to optimism that a recovery in developing economies will be sustained.
The MSCI Emerging Markets Index added 1.1 percent to 963.88 as of 5:12 p.m. in Singapore. Benchmark gauges rallied more than 1 percent after reports today showed the nations’ manufacturing recovered last month. India’s key stock index rallied for a second day as a slump in exports eased and brokerages raised their economic growth forecasts.

ABI Research gives its latest forecasts concerning Mobile voice service revenues which tend to reach their peak in 2010, and after that they are likely to start declining. Vice president for forecasting Jake Saunders comments: "Mobile voice has had a meteoric rise since digital cellular networks such as GSM were deployed in 1992.”
ABI Research forecasts annual mobile voice revenues to reach $580 billion in 2010.

The U.S. and Asia will lead the recovery, Citigroup forecasts

Citigroup Inc. economists and analysts forecasted the United States and Asia to lead the recovery, while Europe and Japan lag next year. Longer term emerging Asian economies are expected to lead the world.
A new report form Citi’s investment Research and Analysis group says that in early 2010 the output will be quite solid and even across major economies, but after this initial burst, Citi predicts sustained momentum in Asia (excluding Japan), and a fairly strong recovery in the U.S., with more gradual recovery in Europe and Japan.

Survey of 67 institutional investors, representing $130 billion worth of emerging-market investments, revealed that specific environmental, social and corporate governance issues was seen as the major challenge facing socially conscious investors in emerging-market companies. 

The survey, sponsored by the International Working Group of the Social investment Forum in Washington as well as the International Financial Corp. in Washington and The Calvert Group Ltd. in Bethesda, Md. was conducted in April and May.
