US retail   sales drop of 0.5% seen in June reflects economic slide

According to the latest estimation from the Commerce Department, US retail sales, that account for about half of total consumer spending and about a third of final sales in the US economy, dropped 0.5% in June to a seasonally adjusted $360.2 billion that reflects the economy to slow down slightly.

According to an official statement from China Securities Journal, China must tackle its property bubble for the sake of economic health and social stability, even if the market feels some short-term pain in the process.


As the Journal reported, monetary restricting, along with steps to control housing demand and expand supply, are the right policy choices for the government.

77% of Chief Financial Executives don't believe in recovery of US economy

Grant Thornton LPP, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, conducted a national survey among 530 chief financial officers and senior comptrollers. The results of the survey turned out to be deplorable for U.S. economy. Majority of respondents (77%) suppose that the economic health will remain the same or get worse in the next six months.
