Liberty Reserve reportedly follows e-gold’s fate with anti-money laundering

liberty reserve has recently introduced an anti-money laundering policy which was accepted by some users as a potential threat to their funds and subsequent devaluation of the services offered by the payment processor and as a result liquidity diminution.
 
The new policy says:
 
LIBERTY RESERVE S.A. views Money Laundering as a serious criminal offence, and as such, complies with regulatory requirements intended to forestall and prevent money laundering.

e-gold ecurrency provider is near to unblocking users’ accounts? Really?

 The now shut-down online payment system e-gold reported on its blog that it is working with the various US Federal and State government authorities, including the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, the state where e-gold’s Operator is located, so as to allow some account holders to access their funds that were blocked under the previous agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.

E-Gold owners fined $3 million for illegal ecurrency accounts in Iran

 Gold & Silver Reserve Inc., a Melbourne-based company, that also owns E-Gold Ltd., was fined about $3 million for allowing thousands of customers in Iran to activate ecurrency accounts within their payment system. The company allegedly exported its services without a license thus violating federal law that regulates transactions with Iran.

From the online forums, talkgold.com, in particular, as well as from e-gold's blog itself we have learned that the payment system posted a new message where it instructed its users to provide additional information in compliance with US legal requirements and e-gold's "Customer Identification Program" (CIP).

V-money payment system became unavailable on December 04, 2008. Starting that day all the attempts to access the company end with redirect to www.srsplus.com, the company which provides hosting service. 

“The site is under construction and coming soon,” says the site and removes all doubt about ddos. The site can be under construction several hours or a couple of days.
