An online payment services provider eBillme has partnered with TheFind.com to add more discounts, deals and selection to its listings. Now products that are available for purchase using eBillme for checkout will be added to TheFind’s online shopping search engine bringing new deals and discounts to shoppers who spend with cash.

Over 50% of holiday shoppers were purchasing via mobile phone

According to a new survey, conducted by Motorola, over 50% of holiday shoppers from 11 countries used their mobile phones for in-store activities such as comparison shopping, getting peer feedback, product information and coupons.


Thus, the research found 64% of youth aged between 18 and 34, GenY shoppers used their mobile phones for in-store shopping-related activities during the holiday season. Moreover, all surveyed age-segments cited interest in next-generation retail technologies to make better-informed decisions.

Walmart cuts prices for toys by up to 50% through the Christmas shopping season

 Last October, the world's biggest retailer cut its prices and began selling 10 popular toys for $10 each in its U.S. Walmart stores to win sales from early bargain hunting holiday shoppers.


This year, the retailer has ramped up the program and is offering more than 100 toys, including Barbie dolls and board games, for $10 each, throughout the Christmas shopping season.

Tight financial belts won’t prevent Americans from holiday spending

According to a survey released on Tuesday, U.S. holiday shoppers are more willing to crack open their wallets in 2009, but still intend to hunt for discounts.

Information Resources Inc, a market research firm, polled about 1,000 U.S. households online in the last two weeks of August and found that about 77 % of respondents said they were willing to splurge on a gift for the 2009 holidays even if times are tough.

Bank of America has announced the launch of an Add It Up program, which can help shoppers get part of their money back to their bank account.
