DDoS attacks will be punished with 10 year imprisonment sentence

Land court in Dusseldorf, Germany, ruled that DDoS attacks on servers should be inflicted with the imprisonment for 10 years.

The ruling was brought in March 2011 but it has been published only now. The reason was the block of bookmaker websites. A convicted person tried to blackmail owners of online services through attacking their servers placed in Russia.

Three owners of the six agreed to pay to the perpetrator but the rest refused which led to the blocking of their websites. As a result they suffered losses accounting for hundreds of thousands of euro.

V-money.net, is this payment system still alive?

When we think about ecommerce it is quite logical that we expect it to feature constant development and dynamics. We expect that businesses conducting their activity in this sector are doing their best to offer new and more competitive services and products.
