Internet and e-commerce industry in Estonia

Estonia is one of the Northern Eastland countries that have recently become an EU member. The country, populated by only slightly over 1.3 people, represents one of the least-populous members of the European Union. The country is bordered by the Gulf of Finland to the north, by Latvia to the south, by the Baltic Sea to the west and by the Russian Federation to the east. By today, Estonia has gained recognition for its economic freedom that along with its adaptation of new technologies made the country to become one of the world's fastest growing economies for several years.

Baidu files lawsuit against US domain registrar blaming it for hacking

Chinese largest search engine Baidu.com filed a lawsuit against its US domain registrar over a hack that took down the Web site, alleging negligence by the US company.


Last week, users had failed accessing Baidu.com for several hours after the company's domain name server in the US was tampered with. The same group, the Iranian Cyber Army, that took down Twitter last month, also was found to be behind the attack on Baidu.

France launches a new agency to strike cyber attacks

In view of the recent attacks on various governmental websites France launched a new agency called the French Networks and Information Security Agency (FNISA) which will observe IT networks, including sensitive government networks to defend them from cyberattacks. Among other responsibilities of the newly-created agency will be to advise government departments and commercial network operators on best practices, and provide information about information security threats and how to avoid them to the general public, reports PC World.
