Sony Ericsson files a lawsuit against Clearwire over similar logo use

Sony Ericsson is suing Clearwire over copyright infringement on allegations the US WiMax operator copied the logo of the phone maker. The Sweden-based company and its U.S. counterpart filed suit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, seeking Clearwire's profits along with damages and an order to stop the use of Clearwire's current logo.

Comcast will let subscribers watch TV shows on their cellpones

Wednesday Comcast Corp unveiled its intention to offer its new wireless Internet service that is to enable subscribers to watch their favorite TV shows on mobile devices.

 The company will be bundling the wireless service with its home Internet package and could eventually include its On Demand Online service, which will provide subscribers with the ability to watch cable shows on the Web.

Comcast presents its 4G wireless service

On Monday, the largest U.S. cable operator Comcast Corp. presented its fourth-generation (4G) wireless service under the name of Comcast High-Speed 2go for subscribers to access the Web beyond their homes anywhere within the USA. The new solution is the first execution of collaboration between Comcast, Clearwire Corp and other companies that use the emerging WiMax high-speed mobile technology.
