Beta or not beta, which Google Chrome is better?

Google reintroduced Chrome’s beta "release channel," seeking user feedback on a new beta that's allegedly 35 per cent faster on the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark, reports the Register. Interestingly, just three months ago in December the Mountain View Chocolate Factory took an unprecedented step to remove the “beta” tag from its Chrome browser and now we have another beta channel of Chrome.

Firefox 3.1 third beta launched with 3.5 ahead

After several delays Mozilla has unveiled its third beta of Firefox 3.1 brought on by show-stopping bugs in the new JavaScript engine TraceMonkey. Firefox 3.1 beta 3 comes with W3C Geolocation API, CSS 2.1 and 3 properties, SVG transforms and offline applications support. An improvement of Private Browsing Mode has also been made, as well as better web worker thread support and new native JSON parsing support designed to protect the browser.

eBay is ready to retire the old version of My eBay

eBay company has announced about the readiness to start retiring the old version of My eBay on January 20th. “More than 90% of eBay members currently use the new My eBay already, but if you are one of the remaining 10% who have not made the switch, we encourage you to give it a try in the next few days”, said Renee VonBergen, Product Management of eBay.
