France launches a new agency to strike cyber attacks

In view of the recent attacks on various governmental websites France launched a new agency called the French Networks and Information Security Agency (FNISA) which will observe IT networks, including sensitive government networks to defend them from cyberattacks. Among other responsibilities of the newly-created agency will be to advise government departments and commercial network operators on best practices, and provide information about information security threats and how to avoid them to the general public, reports PC World.
