Twitter opens door to automatic flood of immense ads

Twitter will soon allow bigtime advertisers to customize, automate and publish their ads in bulk directly to the website of the microblogging service, as reported by the sources aware of the situation.

Advertisers will be given an application programming interface, or API, to deliver big amounts of ads on Twitter. Access to the API will be rolled out initially as a pilot test for a restricted number of advertisers.

Last month MasterCard started quietly testing their new Developer Zone. The company explained: “Over the past few months, MasterCard developers have tested the site, the initial services, and created a few cool apps. And now, we are confident and excited to enable a small group of external developers with exclusive access to our site and services. As you can see, our site provides sample code, SDKs, libraries, forums and blogs, as well as a mechanism to request development keys that will allow developers to code and test in the sandbox.”

While Internet Explorer 9 enjoys much stir due to its accelerated speeds and performance Google has also something to tout. The company announced that the new GPU acceleration advances in the upcoming version 7 are achieving speeds 60 times faster than in version 6.

"This system picks the best graphics API to use on each OS that Chromium supports: Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS and Linux," Google software engineers James Robinson and Gregg Tavares wrote on the Chromium Blog.
