Global payments provider WorldPay plans to acquire Envoy Services Limited, a provider of alternative payment solutions to ecommerce merchants across the globe. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Envoy is a UK FSA-regulated global payments service founded in 2005. The service offers single point access to popular local payment and collection services worldwide.

According to the results of the study commissioned by PULSE financial institutions implement new tactics to attract more debit card users. 72% of issuers consider improving the performance of their debit portfolios by increasing penetration, activation and usage as a top priority this year. The key tactics on the agenda is the deployment of instant issuance technology.
