Wells Fargo and Bank of America announced the shutdown of their joint venture launched three years ago to process automated clearing house transactions between the two banks. The two companies stated that they abandon the operation, which they called Pariter.
“It will shut down over the next few weeks,” a Wells spokesperson tells Digital Transactions News. “It will take a few weeks to figure out what the specific impacts are.”
“It was a mutual decision, amicable,” says the Wells spokesperson. |

First Data signed a referral agreement with Laru Crop to provide its FundsXpress business online banking customers with enhanced automated clearing house (ACH) fraud prevention solution helping thus more easily comply with new industry requirements.

ProPay has added encryption and tokenization of Automated Clearing House (ACH) data (bank routing and account numbers) to its suite of ProtectPay services. According to the official report after ProPay captures, encrypts, and processes the ACH data, the data is replaced with a token which organizations can use for future transactions against the data. |

According to NACHA transaction volume on its WEB e-check code has grown to 552.1 million from 474.1 million in 2007’s fourth quarter (16.5%). Specialists say this is due to the long-term consumer shift from writing checks, and greater use of online bill pay.
ARC transactions, on the other hand, have decreased from 689.3 million in 2007’s final quarter to 653.2 million (5.2%).
