[img_assist|nid=8374|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=100] New cash machines dispensing EUROs and US dollars along with pounds are being introduced by the UK's Post Office in cooperation with Bank of Ireland (BoI).

Customers going on vacation will be able to withdraw euros and US dollars by inserting debit cards at the ATM branches in Ashford, Fareham, Basingstoke, Harlow, Birmingham, Crawley, Dartford, Harrogate, Bristol, Solihull, City of London, Stockport and Trafalgar Square.

Withdrawing the cash will cost nothing to the customers. As for the exchange rate, it will be the same as for over-the-counter transactions with no commission.

First Rate Exchange Services is to become the provider of the currency service.

Last year 309 million overseas transactions on UK-issued cards were made by holidaymakers to withdraw £7.1 billion from overseas cash machines.

"Holidaymakers can make real savings by avoiding all the charges and commission associated with using overseas cash machines abroad, and have more cash to enjoy on holiday instead," says Helen Warburton, head of travel services, Post Office.
