Unisys adds SmartCash™ to its “smart” line

SmartCash™ Currency Processing, a new series of payments products and services was added by Unisys Corporation to its existing “smart” line. SmartCash™ Currency Processing line expands the base of Unisys SmartSource™ Series check image capture products which help financial institutions improve quality, accuracy, productivity and customer service.

One of the main problems challenging modern financial institutions is personnel efficiency especially in light of the fact that banks strive for implementing up-to-date technologies allowing tellers to complete different types of transactions that previously may have been handled by the back office. With the automation of currency processing banks and financial institutions can operate transactions on a higher level.

Best features of this advanced technology were incarnated in the Unisys SmartCash line which enables automatic and accurate counting, verifying authenticity, sorting, storing and dispensing currency throughout the daily transaction cycle.

There are three items included into the newly launched Unisys SmartCash line. These are SmartCash Currency Dispenser, SmartCash Compact Currency Recycler and SmartCash Dual Delivery Currency Recycler. Each of the devices are tailored to work in a variety of banking environments.
